Quality of Life Consult

Schedule a 1 hour consultation  to assess your pet's quality-of-life before making a decision about euthanasia.

What this service includes:

• Our veterinarian will discuss and work through a Quality of Life (QOL) scale to provide a more objective look at how your pet is doing.

​

• Completing this QOL Scale before the visit will allow more time for conversation during the appointment.

​

• If time allows, and if it is decided that your pet's quality of life is poor and not manageable, humane euthanasia can be performed at this visit at no additional charge,

​

• Please note that if euthanasia is not performed during this visit, and is scheduled for a later date or time, each visit will be separately charged $340 to account for the veterinarian's travel time and for up to one hour of time in the home.​

We all hope that our pets will just fall asleep peacefully and not wake up when it is their time, but this is rare. With the help of a QOL scale and the benefit of an experienced veterinarian, this visit can bring more clarity about timing for euthanasia.
